The challenge of business informatics
The ongoing development Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is challenging
many aspects of today’s business and management. Although there is a impressive
supply of various information systems and product software, problems remain
with the development, delivery, adoption, implementations of IT solutions into
usable and effective systems that truly mirror and support organizational processes.
For example: how can companies gain information about new markets and business
partners through e-commerce? How can product software be delivered to optimize
its implementation and use, taking the alignment with the companies’ strategy,
tactics and operations into account? Solving this type of problems is the core
competence of our Master in Business Informatics (MBI).
