Improving organizations to take advantage of ICT, and improving ICT for organizations: that is what business informatics is about. The master business informatics (MBI) programme in Utrecht builds upon your knowledge of information and computer science, and addresses the leading issues on the cross road of business and ICT.

The starting point is that understanding the impact of IT for every organisation requires both a technological and organizational perspective. Therefore, the MBI at Utrecht University is organised as an interdisciplinary initiative, bridging ’the hard and soft sides of IT’. It contains four graduation profiles:

  • researcher of ICT,
  • business consultant,
  • ICT-consultant and
  • product software entrepreneur.

The Business Informatics program is comprised of a two year curriculum at Utrecht University. The program has international orientation and leads to a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Science. Students can enter the Master's programme twice a year, i.e. in February and September. Please browse through this website and find all info about our alumni, collaboration partners, study program and admission procedure.
